Civil Estimator
An exciting opportunity is available for an ambitious individual to join a leading engineering contractor as a Civil Estimator within their EP&R team. The position can be based in Waterford or Dublin.

Overall Role Objective
The Civil Estimator is responsible for the preparation, submission, and management of tenders allocated. The primary objective of the role is to achieve accurate net costs in accordance with client specifications and subcontract documentation.
What you will be doing
Accurately quantify material, plant, and labour requirements
Prepare estimates using in-house estimating software
Compile and issue tender queries
Undertake comparisons of subcontractor, supplier, and specialist quotations
Attend site surveys as required
Contribute to tender risk and opportunity registers
Prepare tender documentation for submission
Attend pre-contract and post-tender meetings
Act as the point of contact and bid owner for the duration of the tender
Manage tenders from inception to completion
Prioritise civil aspects of tenders to meet client expectations and deadlines
Manage civil RFIs and post-tender clarification processes
Undertake any other reasonable and relevant duties required to meet business needs
Is this the job for me?
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an Estimator role or a relevant trade qualification and background
Experience using estimating software
Ability to read, interpret, and understand specifications and drawings
Strong planning and workload prioritisation skills
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Strong numeracy and literacy skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Good communication skills
Proactive approach to problem solving
