Assistant Management Accountant – Harding+. At Harding+, we’re redefining cruise retail. Role
Assistant Management Accountant – Harding+. You will join a busy finance team and help support the monthly management accounts process, ensuring accuracy and clarity in financial reporting. You will be part of a team that values collaboration, ownership, and continuous improvement. Your responsibilities include contributing to forecasting and budgeting cycles and communicating variances and risks with stakeholders.
Responsibilities
* Prepare and post month-end journals
* Reconcile accounts and support the close process
* Explain variances, highlight potential risks, and contribute to forecasting and budgeting cycles
* Create departmental P&L reports
* Manage the Fixed Asset Register and reconcile balance sheets
* Review capex requests and monitor cost centre expenditure
Qualifications & Requirements
* Experience in a similar finance role (e.g., Assistant Management Accountant or Finance Assistant)
* Actively studying towards ACCA or CIMA
* Strong Excel skills and a methodical approach to problem-solving
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise with stakeholders across the business
* Team player with pride in their work and a willingness to learn
* Eligibility to work in the UK
What We Are Looking For
We are seeking a curious, detail-focused individual who enjoys working with data and has a logical mindset. The role is suitable for someone who wants hands-on experience in a supportive team environment.
Working Arrangements
This is a part-time, permanent position based at our Avonmouth office, with hybrid working available. The role is approximately 25 hours per week and can be worked flexibly across the week (e.g., 4–5 hours per day or 3 full working days). Tuesdays and Wednesdays are preferred for office-based work. Remaining hours can be arranged to fit your schedule, including options that work around school hours.
