About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Consultant in Care of the Elderly to join our team in Scotland for a fixed-term contract from 1st July 2024 to 1st October 2024. Key Responsibilities:
* Provide high-quality care and management for elderly patients.
* Conduct comprehensive geriatric assessments and develop individualized care plans.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated and holistic care for patients.
* Participate in ward rounds, outpatient clinics, and multidisciplinary meetings.
* Engage in teaching and training of junior medical staff and other healthcare professionals.
* Maintain accurate and thorough medical records.
* Ensure compliance with clinical guidelines and standards of care.
Requirements:
* Medical degree and full GMC registration.
* Relevant Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in Geriatric Medicine.
* Extensive experience in the care of elderly patients.
* Strong clinical and diagnostic skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Commitment to continuous professional development and education.
