About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Consultant in Care of the Elderly to join our team in Scotland for a fixed-term contract from 1st July 2024 to 1st October 2024. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality care and management for elderly patients.
- Conduct comprehensive geriatric assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated and holistic care for patients.
- Participate in ward rounds, outpatient clinics, and multidisciplinary meetings.
- Engage in teaching and training of junior medical staff and other healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate and thorough medical records.
- Ensure compliance with clinical guidelines and standards of care.
Requirements:
- Medical degree and full GMC registration.
- Relevant Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in Geriatric Medicine.
- Extensive experience in the care of elderly patients.
- Strong clinical and diagnostic skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and education.
