Cleaning Supervisor (Internal Only) - Strand, London, WC2R 2LSTHIS VACANCY IS OPEN TO INTERNAL APPLICANTS ONLYAbout the role: We are seeking proactive and dedicated Cleaning Supervisors to lead our cleaning workforce and ensure the highest standards of cleanliness across our world-class university. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering service excellence and maintaining a safe, welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise all aspects of the daily cleaning operation across designated areas.Ensure cleaning services are delivered safely and in line with college and departmental standards.Help lead and motivate the cleaning team, fostering a collaborative and respectful working environment aligned with King’s values and Fit for Kings behaviours.Provide hands-on support when required, demonstrating best practice and setting clear standards for the team.Monitor performance, conduct inspections, and address any issues promptly to maintain service quality.Liaise with management and other departments to ensure smooth operations and continuous improvement. Positions available are as follows: 14:00 to 22:00 Monday to Friday 05:00 to 09:00 Monday to Friday 18:00 to 22:00 Monday to Friday 05:00 to 16:00 4 days on 4 days Off rota (weekends included) You will be offered an indefinite contract.About You: To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience:Essential criteria1. A good understanding of what is required to be an effective supervisor.2. Good English language communication skills, including the ability to understand and respond to instructions both written and verbal3. Good customer service skills with an understanding of customer expectations and how these can be met 4. Supervisory experience.5. Good cleaning experience with both equipment and machinery6. Ability to work calmly and efficiently under pressure7. Good teamwork skills.8. Confident in delivering training sessions to the team.9. Good understanding of safe working practices including COSHH and colour coding Desirable criteria1. BICs Licence to practice 2. Cleaning related qualifications 3. First aid4. Spanish speaker5. Good understanding of auditing and different methods of cleaning.
