Job Summary
This is a temporary position supporting a warm and welcoming family while one parent is away for work. The role will involve working alongside the children’s father to ensure the day-to-day routine runs smoothly and consistently.
The family have two children aged 5 and 2. The eldest daughter enjoys gymnastics, horses and playing with her Barbies and attends school during the day. The younger brother attends nursery three days a week, is independent, communicative and beginning to develop his own interests.
The home offers a fantastic playroom on the top floor, which the nanny will have full scope to organise and set up to best support the children’s development and interests.
Job Details
Location: Hereford, Herefordshire
Hours of work: 8am – 8pm
Days required: 18th May – 22nd May 2026 (Job start date Monday 18th May 2026; job end date Friday 22nd May 2026)
Pet in the home: 1 dog
Driving required: yes, own car essential
Pay: £25 gross per hour
Responsibilities
* Ensure the day-to-day routine runs smoothly and consistently.
* Prepare children’s meals during school and nursery hours.
* Organise children’s areas and the playroom.
* Prepare for the evening routine and ensure everything is ready for the following day.
* Maintain strong communication with the children’s father.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Strong communication skills.
* Up-to-date enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service.
* 12 hour Paediatric First Aid Certificate.
* Minimum of 2 professional referees (one current or last employer) immediately contactable.
* Driving required; own car essential.
* Appropriate professional insurance (nanny insurance) recommended.
