Newbridge Primary School is seeking a nurturing, motivated and skilled Teaching Assistant to provide support for a pupil in Year 4 who has an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). The pupil has Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and requires consistent, high-quality support to access the school curriculum and thrive in the school. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference to a child's experience and outcomes, and be a part of a thriving school community.
This role is a temporary position and will remain in place for as long as the pupil attends the school or until the funding ceases.
Hours Required:
Monday: 12pm to 3.15pm
Tuesday: 8.45 am to 3.15pm (1/2 hour lunch break)
Wednesday: 8.45 am to 3.15pm (1/2 hour lunch break)
Thursday: 8.45 am to 3.15pm (1/2 hour lunch break)
Friday: 12pm to 3.15pm
We are looking for someone who:
* Has experience supporting children with SEMH needs.
* Can build positive, trusting relationships with children.
* Understands how to provide adaptive, inclusive support that promotes independence.
* Works effectively as part of a team and follows guidance from the class teacher and SENDCo.
* Shows patience, resilience and a nurturing approach.
