Therme Manchester will deliver a unique wellbeing experience immersed within an expansive multi-zoned, tropical environment. The resort combines the ancient practices of thermal healing, with multi-sensory sauna experiences, steam rooms, water slides and wave pools. Set to open in 2028, the construction of Therme is already underway and SRM have been appointed as the Construction Management Partner.
The Business Support and Reception Lead will be supporting both SRM and Therme staff and responsible for creating a welcoming, efficient, and well-organised working environment. This role provides front-of-house reception services, supports with the day-to-day office operations, and delivers administrative support across the project including PowerPoint. The postholder will act as a key point of contact for staff, visitors, suppliers, and clients, ensuring high standards of customer service and smooth operational delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Reception & Front-of-House
* Greet and assist visitors, clients, and staff in a professional and friendly manner
* Manage incoming emails, and enquiries, ensuring prompt and accurate responses
* Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming reception area
* Manage visitor passes, meeting room bookings, and staff sign-in/out procedures
* Develop a process for post /parcel management
Office Management
* Support with the day-to-day office operations including supplies, equipment, and facilities coordination
* Liaise with external vendors (cleaning, maintenance, IT support, etc.) to ensure consistent service levels
* Coordinate staff onboarding logistics (desk setup, access passes, office orientation)
Business & Administrative Support
* Provide general administrative assistance to departments and senior managers as needed.
* Prepare documents, reports in Power point or word
* Assist with event planning, workshops, and internal communications in the Discovery Kitchen including management of the Discovery Kitchen inbox and event schedule
* Support with any Therme event operations such as team building days, celebration days and more formal events
* Coordinate travel arrangements, accommodation, and expense processing
* Managing the bespoke access management system.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Proven experience in a receptionist, office management, or business support role
* Strong customer service skills with a professional and welcoming manner
* Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise multiple tasks
* Strong written and verbal communication abilities
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and general office systems and the ability to create PowerPoint slide decks of a high standard
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail
* Possess a ‘can do', positive, problem-solving attitude
