Overview
New opportunity to recruit a Skilled Maintenance Operative - Horsham Maintenance Centre.
Are you able to work independently and/or with other members of the maintenance team efficiently and effectively to carry out repairs and maintenance duties across the stations? This includes (but is not limited to) management of poster frame refurbishment/installation, minor vegetation work, unblocking of sanitary ware, repair and replacement of standard locks and general door mechanism maintenance, window maintenance, maintenance of hand rails, basic carpentry repairs, floor lining, cementing patch repairs, gutter clearance/repair, minor plumbing repairs, plastering, tiling, and flooring. Delivery of staff welfare area improvements and enhancing the staff and customer environment. Work collaboratively to define and deliver enhanced working environments for our staff and enhanced environments for our customers.
Do you have the following:
* Experience within property maintenance and/or construction environments
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Excellent problem solving skills
* Stamina and a can-do attitude to manual work
* Able to proactively identify opportunities for and to lead continuous improvement
* Able to solve technical problems where timescales are limited
* Self-motivated and able to react to a wide variety of situations
* Outstanding organisational and prioritisation skills
* A full driving licence is essential for this role
