Your Opportunity
Our BDO Canada Offices arelooking for an Insolvency Counsellor. This is a new role. The successful candidate would be joining the Personal Debt Solutions team in-office and own the following responsibilities:
1. Assist debtors and creditors, both in person and virtually, as it relates to bankruptcies and proposals
2. Perform BIA Counselling covering topics including budgeting & credit rebuilding
3. Review files/documents for review with client to ensure compliance with duties under their insolvency filing
4. Community outreach, business development and presentations

Your experience and education
11. Successful completion of CAIRP Practical course on Insolvency Counseling
12. Two or more years of relevant work experience in an Insolvency or Credit Counseling or other relevant areas
13. Great interpersonal skills to deal with team members, debtors, and creditors
14. Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills to respond to different situations
15. Strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
16. Takes personal ownership and responsibility for the quality and timeliness of work
17. Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word & Excel
18. Excellent time management and organizational skills
19. A team player who can also work independently
