Job Purpose
We are seeking a highly skilled Multidisciplinary Offshore Module Engineer to lead and coordinate all engineering activities associated with the design, integration, and delivery of a FPSO unit topside module.
This role requires strong multidisciplinary technical understanding, excellent interface management capability, and the ability to work collaboratively with engineering teams, suppliers, fabrication contractors, the hull contractor, and the client.
The engineer will manage the critical physical and functional connection points between the Engineering (Design), Module Fabricator, the Hull/Vessel Contractor, and the Overall Topsides Integrator.
Job Description
1. Multidisciplinary Engineering Coordination
1. Lead and integrate engineering deliverables across disciplines, including:
2. Electrical & Power Systems (LV/MV/HV)
3. Process and non-electrical utilities (e.g. HVAC)
4. Instrumentation
5. Telecom
6. Piping
7. Fire & Gas (F&G) Systems
8. Commuincatoin and Broadcast systems
9. Ligthing system
10. Laydown interface
11. Lifiting plans
12. Structural / Naval
13. Safety
14. Ensure all disciplines comply with project requirements, classification rules, industry standards, and client technical specifications.
2. Interface Management
15. Function as the primary technical interface between:
16. Internal engineering teams
17. Equipment / package vendors
18. Client technical representatives
19. Construction, commissioning, and offshore teams
20. Maintain the interface register and ensure closure of all interface actions.
21. Manage all interface definition, clarifications, and technical queries (TQs).
3. Compliance & Standards
22. Ensure that engineering deliverables meet:
23. Client technical specifications (ETs)
24. Brazilian regulatory requirements (ANP, NR standards, etc.)
25. Classification society rules (DNV, ABS, etc.)
26. International standards (API, IEC, NFPA, ISO, etc.)
4. Design Review & Technical Assurance
27. Review and approve engineering drawings, data sheets, layouts, and technical documentation.
28. Lead and coordinate design reviews (internal and client-based reviews) (3D model reviews, constructability, integration)
29. Facilitate HAZOP, HAZID, SIL assessments, and other safety workshops.
30. Ensure proper integration of module system with hull systems, utilities, safety systems, and digital control environment.
5. Vendor & Fabrication Support
31. Follow up on vendor engineering, FATs, IFATs, 3D model reviews, and package integration.
32. Support fabrication yard activities, including:
33. Constructability analysis
34. Onshore/Offshore Commissioning onshore/offshore
35. Resolution of field engineering issues
6. Client Engagement
36. Prepare and lead technical meetings with the client.
37. Provide timely responses to Client comments and ensure alignment with contractual scope.
38. Manage deviations, waivers, and technical change requesting accordance with project procedures.

7. Project Execution Support
39. Support planning, progress reporting, and risk analysis.
40. Ensure engineering deliverables meet schedule, cost, and quality targets.
41. Provide offshore support during module integration, commissioning, and startup as required.

You are meant for this job if:
42. Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical, Naval, Mechanical, Structural, Marine Engineering)
43. Advanced English
44. CREA
45. Experience in Oil & Gas
46. Experience with topside module fabrication for FPSOs or offshore platforms.
47. Experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering and vendor packages.
48. Strong leadership and communication skills.
49. Proven ability to align and coordinate technical activities across multiple stakeholders.
50. Advanced interface management capability.
51. Expert-level conflict resolution skills, especially in resolving scope gaps between suppliers, engineers, and operators.
52. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
53. Availability for offshore missions as required during integration, commissioning, and startup phases.
