Salary: Competitive PAYE: £29.13+ | Umbrella: £38.43 per hour
Are you a dedicated Social Worker registered with Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW) with a passion for supporting adults with complex needs? NRW People is excited to offer an inspiring temporary role with Rhondda Cynon Taf Council, based at Cynon Principal Offices. Starting 27 October 2025, this 10-week position offers a chance to make a real difference in the community, with flexible working options.
What You’ll Do:
* Manage a complex caseload of adults (over 18) with long-term care and support needs, focusing on physical and mental health challenges.
* Conduct assessments and develop personalised plans to achieve positive outcomes, supporting independence in the community.
* Collaborate with families, healthcare providers, and local services, attending the office at least once weekly (flexible home working otherwise).
* Maintain accurate records, uphold safeguarding standards, and travel across RCT for face-to-face work.
What We’re Looking For:
* A Social Worker registered with CIW, with proven experience in adult services and managing complex caseloads.
* Strong values, excellent communication skills, and the ability to travel across RCT for face-to-face support.
* Willingness to work full-time (37 hours, 09:00 - 17:30) with a minimum weekly office presence.
* Candidates must be able and willing to travel to RCT and reside within a reasonable commuting distance.

* Registration with Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW).
* Eligibility to work in the UK.

* 5 years of references (to be submitted with application).
* Criminal Convictions Declaration (to be submitted with application).
* Confidentiality Agreement (to be submitted with application).
* 2 years of references, Proof of Qualifications, and Proof of Address (to be submitted with application).
