You’ll be paid a salary up to £57,500 per annum depending on experience. What you’ll do on a typical day:
* Be the subject matter expert in our planning systems and operating procedures to ensure that our plans are accurate and efficient
* Shape and lead the network resourcing plans, managing fleet in accordance with volumes
* Coordinate and effectively forward plan for all seasonal, trade driving and promotional events to ensure that our transport plans reflect business operations during these times
* Use your expertise and knowledge to identify opportunities to improve the transport planning operation, engaging and supporting the team to deliver these improvements
What you need to succeed at GXO:
* Previous experience leading planning teams and transport operations, both operationally and strategically, with the ability to effectively lead, develop and manage a team
* Comfortable to work on your own initiative in a complex and dynamic operation that continually changes
* Demonstrate understanding of continuous improvement theories and methodology and have experience of delivering continuous improvement initiatives
* Experience working with transport planning systems (Paragon or Microlise as a minimum) and a knowledge of driver’s hours and the working time directive
