What will this role achieve?
pladis UK & I operate within an industry which requires employees to reach specified health standards as defined by the pladis OHW Health Surveillance & Fitness Standards. The nature of the industry and the potential risks to employees require certain employees to be subject to specific health monitoring.
Legislation within the field of occupational health is constantly developing with medico-legal and ethical implications often being complex. It is essential to the business that proactive measures are undertaken to enhance the health of all employees and to reduce the effect of ill-health and disability.
1. The role holder will report directly to the Clinical Performance & Development Manager and will work closely with HR & HRSC, the Compliance Team and line managers to ensure that a comprehensive occupational health service is delivered across the business. This includes compliance to Health & Safety legislation and business agreed service level agreements (SLAs) for case management and health surveillance & screening programs.
2. The role holder will collectively support the wider OHW Team in successful delivery of OHW team objectives.
Please note, this role is days per week hybrid working ( days on site, days WFH).
North region will be based in Manchester .
What will be your key deliverables?
3. Provide a comprehensive case management provision across UK & I proactively supporting policy driven rehabilitation and return to work programs
4. Ensure excellent communication strategies are employed to deliver appropriate & timely reporting to managers and all relevant functions/key partners
5. Support and where required conduct appropriate health screening and surveillance activities, analysing data to provide site management teams with information and recommendations for appropriate action planning
6. Conduct drug testing if required in line with company policy
7. Maintain occupational health records via the OHS software system
8. Ensure compliance with OHW Service standards, policies, and procedures
9. Support the UK delivery of the Health & Wellbeing agenda across the business working collectively with the wider OHW team
10. Key contributor to the development and delivery of the UK&I wellbeing agenda to drive activation
11. Shaping, coordinating and guiding the network of MHWA
12. Actively contribute to the continual development of the OHW service provision
Bring your experience
13. Excellent Verbal & Non-Verbal communication skills
14. PC literate – Microsoft office
15. Case management experience
16. Health surveillance/screening experience
17. Clear knowledge of UK Health and Safety legislation
18. Fully conversant with NMC Code of Professional Conduct and relevant guidance and data protection legislation
19. Able to work within a multi-disciplinary team
20. Proactively support change, adjusting approach to meet changing requirements
21. Maintains a confident, controlled, and focused attitude in highly challenging situations
22. RGN Level with at least years post registration experience & + years in OH
23. Team player with strong desire for success
24. Excellent organisational skills and ability to use own initiative
25. Must be honest & discreet with a flexible approach and work style
