Imaging Department Assistant

Imaging Department Assistants play a key support role in the General X‑ray team, ensuring the delivery of an efficient and effective service. The position is part of a multidisciplinary team, assisting radiographers, nurses, and other medical staff in a caring, flexible, and professional manner.
Responsibilities
* Provide reception and clerical duties including data entry.
* Assist radiographers in imaging rooms and with portable imaging.
* Support direct patient care and maintain the dignity and well‑being of patients.
* Act as a Fire Warden (training given).
* Maintain stock in clinical areas and departmental cleanliness.
* Operate within a 24/7 365 day service covering 12.5‑ and 8‑hour day and night shifts.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a caring environment.
* Hold 5 GCSEs at grade C or above, including Maths and English.
* Show strong organisational and IT skills.
* Be highly motivated, uphold the Trust’s values and promises.
Working Conditions
The role is shift based, covering 12.5‑ and 8‑hour day and night shifts as part of the Trust’s 24/7 service.
