We’re looking for an experienced Forklift Truck Driver to join the yard team at our busy Mansfield depot. This is a fast-paced, practical role at the heart of our operation, supporting customers, suppliers, and colleagues to keep everything running smoothly. What you’ll be doing Safely operating a forklift to pick, load, and unload vehicles Assisting customers, suppliers, and delivery drivers on site Picking orders manually and handling heavy materials where required Keeping the yard clean, organised, and safe, with high standards of presentation Managing stock rotation and highlighting shortages or issues Carrying out daily checks on plant and machinery and reporting defects or H&S concerns Working closely with the wider yard team to maintain an efficient operation What we’re looking for Valid forklift licence and experience operating a forklift Previous experience working in a builders’ merchant environment Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling Good communication skills and attention to detail Able to work independently and as part of a team Strong awareness of safety procedures Eligible to work in the UK What we offer Salary: £30,628 per annum Hours: 6.30am–5pm Monday to Friday Holiday: 23 days plus Bank Holidays Discretionary bonus scheme Company Description A.W.
