Role overview
You’ll be providing active, hands-on operational supporting within the Property Services department, working closely with maintenance, events and other businesses areas. You’ll assist with office moves and changes, event setups, stock management and other administrative tasks where required. This role is designed to enhance the delivery of business services within Bexhill and to ensure smooth day-to-day operations across facilities management functions, all while fostering a collaborative and team-oriented environment.
Job details – you’ll need to have demonstrable experience in:
1. Working in partnership with the maintenance team to coordinate office moves, workstation set ups and any layout changes
2. Collaborating with colleagues to support the reconfiguration of spaces for meetings, training sessions and events – including assisting with the preparation and set up of rooms for internal events (including furniture layout and equipment checks)
3. Liaising with the event team, event organisers and key stakeholders to ensure timely and seamless delivery of event requirements
4. Conducting regular stock checks for office and departmental supplies and managing any replenishment requests, maintaining accurate inventory records
5. Carrying out any departmental administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, updating logs and assisting with documentation for moves, stock and event set ups
6. Acting as flexible resource to support cross departmental activities and providing cover for targeted roles within the team – being a visible and approachable presence in the Bexhill office for all Facilities Management related queries
Essential skills/experience:
7. Strong proven organisational skills with high attention to detail
8. Background in working collaboratively with multiple teams, showcasing the ability to build positive relationships and utilising good communication skills with stakeholders of all levels
9. Basic knowledge of safe manual handling practices, computer skills (including Microsoft Office products)
10. Previous experience in facilities or office support (or similar) preferred
