The Global Streaming Platform organization is looking for an experienced product leader for the role of Director of Metadata and Supply Chain Capabilities. This leader will be responsible for creating a product vision that revolutionizes our metadata platform and supply chain, unlocking new concepts through the power of AI and leading to innovative new ways for users to discover what content to watch. This role will partner closely with peer product teams across personalization, content discovery and content experience. This is an opportunity to be part of a fast-paced and ambitious initiative focused on creating the next generation of streaming products.


In this role you will:

1. Inspire internal teams and leadership to rally around the power and evolution of metadata to drive user experiences
2. Drive rapid development and change urgency across matrixed teams to a unified goal
3. Create net new metadata elements that lead to new ways of discovering and experiencing content
4. Invent new methods of creating metadata for broad and deep content catalogs across multiple territories and cultures
5. Streamline supply chain with AI to reduce operations and allow capabilities to grow at scale
6. Rapidly increase coverage and quality of metadata elements across broad and deep content catalogs
7. Ensure platform compliance with various regulatory and standards organizations and manage legal relationships
8. Help transform platform services into a product that power and enable amazing client experiences
9. Be knowledgeable of emerging AI and metadata trends to evaluate what best fits Peacock
10. Carry out thorough analyses of multiple data sources to inform feature prioritization, definition and longer-term product strategies
11. Manage senior stakeholders through the full product lifecycle: from definition to go/no-go decision
12. Create and deliver executive presentations that explain product features and roadmaps, as and when required

Qualifications

13. Minimum 8 years of experience developing and managing multiple different products at scale, delivering excellent customer experiences and measurable business impact
14. Deep technical experience in platform service development, metadata systems and video platforms
15. Strong analytical skills to evaluate a wide range of detailed information, clearly identifying the pertinent points to determine coherent approaches to problems
16. Excellent organizational and time management skills with a demonstrable ability to manage a vast array of information and work on multiple work streams
17. A passion for internet-delivered TV and the potential to do more with it for customers. Experience of working within the digital TV industry in a product/technology related role or related discipline would be a significant benefit
18. A solid technical understanding that will enable you to have technical conversations and to know when to challenge developers and ask pertinent questions
19. A team player who is willing to share responsibilities, confer with others, help others do their jobs, lead work streams where necessary
20. High degree of software literacy and comfort with various project management tools such as Asana, Jira, Trello or similar as well as analytics software.
21. Understanding of software development concepts and familiarity with Agile or Continuous Integration methodology - able to think holistically while building and learning iteratively
22. Product or program management experience for large media or digital video sites a plus

Desired:

23. College degree in a related field preferred
24. Experience converting business ideas and research into well-thought-out and timely product releases with an emphasis on customer value, revenue and performance
25. Outstanding verbal, written and interpersonal communications with proven ability to work collaboratively with Sales, Marketing, Operations & Engineering Leadership to foster shared ownership of product deliverables and shape and refine market specific agendas
26. A passion for digital products and services including but not limited to streaming video, social media, interactive television, gaming, etc.
27. An understanding of the television industry including business models, trends, and ecosystem of companies that comprise it.
