We are seeking a dedicated History and Geography Teacher to join a specialist SEN school in the Leatherhead area. The school provides tailored education for children and young people with Autism and additional learning needs, offering a highly supportive and inclusive setting where staff work collaboratively to ensure every student reaches their full potential.
As the Humanities Teacher, you will plan and deliver creative, differentiated History and Geography lessons that meet the needs of pupils with diverse learning profiles. You will work closely with teaching assistants and the wider SEN team to implement strategies that support communication, independence, and academic progress. Your role will also involve promoting positive behaviour, building strong relationships, and fostering social and emotional development within a nurturing classroom environment.
To be successful, you should hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and bring experience teaching History and/or Geography. Experience within an SEN setting is desirable but not essential. Strong communication, adaptability, and a genuine commitment to supporting young people with Autism and additional needs are essential.
