Family Time Support Worker Location: Belfast Salary: £13.57 per hour Hours: Full-time and part-time positions available Contract Type: Permanent About the Role Were recruiting on behalf of our client for compassionate and dedicated Family Time Support Workers to join their growing team. In this rewarding role, youll play a key part in supporting and advising families facing short- or long-term challenges. Youll help strengthen family relationships by supervising and facilitating family contact sessions between children and their parents or relatives ensuring a safe, positive, and supportive environment. This role requires flexibility, as some work will take place outside normal office hours and may include evenings and weekends. Key Responsibilities Supervise and monitor family contact sessions in line with agreed plans. Provide transport for children and family members to and from contact venues. Maintain accurate written records and reports in accordance with policy. Work collaboratively with social workers and other professionals to support family plans. Attend review meetings, planning sessions, and court hearings if required. Promote positive family relationships and empower parents to meet their childrens needs. Maintain confidentiality and uphold safeguarding responsibilities at all times. Essential Criteria Minimum Level 2 qualification (or equivalent) in Youth and Community Work, Childcare, or Health & Social Care with a willingness to progress to Level 3 or 5. NISCC registration (or eligibility to register). Full UK driving licence and access to a car. Experience working with children, young people, or families. Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills. Confidence in managing difficult or urgent situations. Desirable Experience writing professional reports or appearing in court settings. IT skills, including use of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
