HSSE & Compliance Lead Following an internal review, we’ve refined this role to focus specifically on HSSE and compliance, giving the right candidate the chance to make a real impact in a critical area of our business HSSE & Compliance Lead – MASHCo (Manchester Airport Storage & Hydrant Company) Salary: £48,000 to £53,000 per annum (depending on experience) Benefits: Pension Salary Sacrifice Scheme (with up to 10% employer contribution), 33 Days Holiday (including 8 bank holidays), Salary Sacrifice Holiday Purchase Scheme and Death in Service/Life Insurance (3 x Salary) Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday with some flexibility to work from home on occasion. About us MASHCo operates a vital aviation fuel farm which is COMAH Upper Teir, delivering fuel for Manchester Airport. This is a newly created role following MASHCo’s move to a “self-operating” organisational model and a need to bring this expertise in-house. About the Role Reporting to the Operations Manager, this is a critical role in ensuring the company complies with all relevant laws and regulations (including from the aviation industry, Joint Inspection Group Limited - JIG) to achieve a best-in-class focus on health, safety, security, environmental and operational performance. You will be responsible for Influencing, shaping and executing HSSE/Compliance Strategies Developing initiatives to promote a safety first culture with a focus on health & safety being a shared responsibility Monitoring compliance with Health, Safety, Security & Environmental regulations, making interventions where required Identifying areas of improvement Supporting the General Manager & Operations Manager in implementing HSSE/Compliance strategies & policies across the business What you will bring Proven HSSE/Compliance experience, ideally having worked within a high risk and highly regulated industry/sector Sound knowledge of relevant UK HSE, environmental legislation A passion for HSSE Confident communicator with the ability to influence across all levels and with stakeholders Analytical with great attention to detail and strong reporting skills Self-starter who can work both independently and collaboratively Comfortable reviewing and interpreting legislation and policies Qualifications/Training Degree-level education or equivalent experience NEBOSH, IEMA or IOSH certification (preferred) Familiarity with JIG standards and COMAH regulations (advantageous) Why Join Us?
