We are looking for a highly organised, experienced, self-motivated, reliable, efficient and proactive Warehouse Supervisor to join our team.
The Role:
Assist in the daily function of the finished goods and raw materials warehouses including unloading and processing of raw materials for use in production and the loading of customer's orders, whilst adhering to company standards, systems and procedures. In the absence of the Shift Manager, you will conduct coordination of warehouse teams for finished goods and raw material warehouses ensuring all deadlines are met, all administrative functions are completed while complying with company health & safety guidelines and corporate standards
Key Responsibilities include:
* Driving a fork-lift truck. Reach and Counterbalance
* Daily picking of customers' orders, ensuring that all pallets are wrapped and labelled to the Newly Weds Foods (NWF) standards
* Receiving raw materials
* Material (including raw materials) handling
* Booking in and managing drivers arriving on site
* Unloading raw material deliveries
* Booking raw materials onto ERP system
* Loading of vehicles
* Processing delivery paperwork
* Material handling from Production functions
* Ensuring warehouses are kept clean and tidy
* Liaising with Production and Food Safety and Quality departments
* Report any issues observed relating to Quality, Safety, Sanitation, Machinery or Throughput to your immediate line manager
* Ensure that all tasks are conducted safely, adhering to NWF Health & Safety Regulations working in accordance with the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and to follow all company procedures. Report any Near Miss or Accidents to your immediate Line Manager
* Coordination of warehouse teams daily duties
* Liaising with QA to ensure goods are realised in time for despatch
* Daily completion of goods in and out schedules reporting any discrepancies to logistics and purchasing teams as appropriate
* Ensure all warehouse documentation to be completed daily
* Warehouse cleaning schedules completed in a timely manner
* GMP standards to be met daily
* Forklift Truck downtime reporting
* Strategically manage warehouse in compliance with company's policies and procedures
* Adherer to all warehousing, handling and shipping legislation requirements
* Manage storage capacities in line with daily business requirements
* Prioritise and maintain stock integrity keeping picking inaccuracies and damages to a minimum
* Drive productivity, monitor and set improvement targets in a fair and consistent manner
Person Specification:
* Current Counterbalance & Reach licence
* Previous experience of working in a FMCG warehouse environment
* Proven experience of managing and leading a team
* Advanced computer skills and knowledge of Unity system
* Ability to work as part of a team as well individually
* Excellent data input and scheduling skills
* Outstanding attention to detail skills, being right first time
* Good communication skills with the ability to communicate confidently with others at all levels
* Ability to adhere to and implement company procedures and health and safety regulations
Additional Information:
This is role continental shift pattern, 12-hour rotational shift (7pm to 7am). One week you will be working Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday and the next week you would be working Wednesday and Thursday, and so on) although a degree of flexibility is required depending on business need.
