Join Our Team at Corserv Care as a Support Worker. Working hours are available as full time and part time.
What you'll be doing
* The role is to support individuals in meeting their agreed outcomes and help them remain in their own homes safely for as long as they wish.
* Work with other professionals, team members, or independently to carry out the care/reablement plan, promoting flexibility, dignity, respect, wellbeing, confidence and independence to improve quality of life.
* Provide safe and appropriate, person-centred support, comply with health and safety practices, carry out basic risk assessments and follow infection prevention and control measures.
* Use an innovative approach to help customers achieve as much independence as possible.
* Comply with the code of conduct, staff handbook and Corserv Care policies to promote quality standards and respect for human rights.
* Maintain accurate records as required by law, evidence actions and outcomes, and work safely as a lone worker or with others to protect service users and colleagues.
* Monitor the health, wellbeing and progress of service users and report concerns to management to safeguard vulnerable adults.
* Support service users with daily living skills, personal care, meal preparation and housekeeping, and collaborate with families, healthcare professionals and occupational therapists to access community opportunities.
* Operate in accordance with diverse community needs to ensure equal access to services and commit to continual professional development through required training.
Benefits
* Guaranteed Payment: £12.63 per hour; overtime may be available. You are paid for a full shift, even if a client cancels.
* Time and a half for overtime beyond 40 hours.
* Guaranteed Paid Travel Time & Mileage: 45p per mile, including travel and contact time. After a 6-month probation, you may join the Car Lease Scheme.
* Paid Enhanced DBS check and a generous pension scheme with employer contributions.
* Annual Leave: 31 days (including Bank Holidays), pro-rata for part-time patterns, with option to buy up to 1 additional week.

About you
* Current right to work in the UK.
* Understanding of reablement and care provision.
* Good verbal and written communication skills.
* Basic IT skills.
* Empathy and a passion to support others, with excellent attention to detail and strong time management.
* Full driving licence valid to drive in the UK and access to a vehicle.
* Safeguarding: commitment to safeguarding the welfare of service users; this role is subject to an Enhanced DBS check.
