HW Finance are proud to be partnering a Leeds Based Private Equity Backed Group to help appoint a new Head of FP&A.You’ll play a pivotal role in preparing and owning the budgeting, reforecasting, and long-range planning processes - ensuring alignment between operational performance and financial projections. You'll deliver insights to senior leadership and external stakeholders including PE House & banks, and drive forward a culture of commercial acumen and data-backed decision-making.This is an incredibly hands-on role, leading a small team, we are looking for someone who is as comfortable operating at board level, as they are getting into the weeds.Key Responsibilities:Lead group-wide budgeting and monthly/quarterly reforecasting, including P&L, balance sheet, and cashflow modellingCollaborate with commercial, marketing, and regional teams to gather inputs and stress-test assumptionsPrepare board-level presentations and investor-facing packs for PE, and banking stakeholdersIdentify and monitor financial risks and opportunities, offering timely recommendations to mitigate or leverage themDeliver monthly Board reporting with insight-rich narrative, alongside KPI schedules for key stakeholdersLead profitability analysis and strategic project appraisalsManage and develop a Commercial Finance Analyst, fostering growth and technical excellencePresent variance analysis comparing forecasted vs. actual sales, revenue, and marginsAttend weekly trading meetings to stay close to sales trends and evolving business driversExperience required:Proven senior experience in FP&A, financial modeling, and business partnering, ideally in a PE-backed, multinational settingStrong ability to communicate financial information to non-financial audiencesA critical thinker who balances strategic vision with attention to detailDeep curiosity about what drives business performanceExperience with BI tools and data visualization platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)Strong organizational and project management skills – able to triage and prioritize under tight deadlinesLeadership experience, with the ability to coach and grow direct reports
