We are currently seeking an experienced Assistant Asphalt Plant Supervisor based at our Liverpool Plant.
In this role, you will support the plant supervisor with the safe and efficient management and operation of the Plant. Responsibilities include managing production, troubleshooting technical problems, and overseeing planning and coordination with other departments. Awareness of the time-critical nature of the process and downstream activities is advantageous.
Shift patterns may vary based on workload, customer requirements, and business demands. Breedon may implement flexible, rotating, or staggered shifts to ensure efficient coverage, meet deadlines, and maintain high service levels, considering seasonal fluctuations, special projects, or unforeseen circumstances.
Key Responsibilities
* Prioritize safety, including conducting risk assessments and safety inspections, and demonstrating leadership in safety practices.
* Perform administrative duties such as writing reports, updating records, procurement, and budget control.
* Plan and organize work efficiently to meet operational goals.
* Preferably have a background in the asphalt industry, with a strong focus on safety and interpersonal skills.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
The successful candidate will be proactive, versatile, and adaptable, with an energetic "hands-on" approach. Ability to anticipate problems, consider solutions, and collaborate effectively with colleagues is essential.
This role suits a motivated individual with plant operations experience, ideally within a similar environment.
