Graduate Planning Policy Officer / Planning Policy OfficerSalary: £39,462 – £42,019 (including £2,500 market supplement)Location: Fleet, HampshireWorking arrangements: Hybrid (Up to 80% home working)

Hays is excited to be working with Hart District Council to recruit a Policy Planner at a pivotal moment in the authority’s planning journey. Hart is about tomence the development of its new Local Plan under the revised plan-making system, making this a particularly exciting time for a planning professional to join the team and help shape the future of the district.

This role is protected from changes under Devolution and Localernment Reorganisation, ensuring stability and continuity. You’ll be joining a weing and collaborative team, with the opportunity to contribute to key policy projects and gain valuable experience in strategic planning.

What you will bringHart is seeking a motivated and capable candidate, either a recent graduate or someone with some post qualification experience.
The ideal candidate will have:•An RTPI-accredited qualification or equivalent experience, with eligibility for MRTPI •Good understanding of planning legislation, policy, and guidance •Strong research, data analysis, and ICT skills •Ability to write clearly and concisely, and present information logically•A proactive and customer-focused approach•Experience supporting planning policy work and contributing to consultations•Desire to be a full RTPI member andmitment to professional development

This role offers the chance to support the development of Hart’s new Local Plan, contribute to a wide range of planning policy work, and grow within a supportive and forward-thinking team.
