We are seeking a DXA specialist clinical scientist to lead the DXA section of the Nuclear Medicine Department at Singleton Hospital, Swansea. The successful candidate will ensure timely DXA reporting and scanning, meeting departmental KPIs and Royal Osteoporosis Society standards. This role offers an opportunity to lead departmental development in a dynamic setting.
Main duties of the job
The post-holder will handle DXA image validation, evaluation, and reporting, working closely with senior staff including the Head of Department, Chief Clinical Technologists, CT Lead Radiographer, other clinical scientists, and Consultants. Responsibilities include DXA reporting, service management, development, and research. The workload will be adjusted as needed for service coverage during absences. The candidate will also plan and implement long-term service improvements.
Nuclear Medicine at Singleton is a friendly, progressive service accredited by IPEM for training, with academic links to Swansea and Cardiff Universities. Continuing professional development is encouraged and supported. Full training in Nuclear Medicine will be provided to the right candidate.
