We are looking for a positive behaviour support worker to join Swanton Community Services.
Experience in PBS would be beneficial; however, you will receive in‑depth in‑house training and support within your role.
This role is dedicated to delivering positive, person‑centred outcomes for adults and young people with complex care needs who rely on our services.
Responsibilities
* Encouraging – promoting independence where possible & enabling service users to thrive.
* Supporting – every aspect of daily life needs your full attention: personal hygiene, mealtimes, mobility, social activities, finances and more.
* Communicating – effectively communicate using people's chosen methods.
* Engaging – promoting physical & emotional motivation to enhance daily life.
* Specialising – supporting people who may need positive behavioural support approaches.
* Monitoring – keeping accurate records & reporting changes in health or circumstances of service users to management.
* Team player – contributing to a well organised and effective service.
Qualifications
* Health and social care, with a minimum of a Level 2 NVQ.
* Developing and maintaining effective working relationships with service users, their circle of support and colleagues.
* Effective verbal and written communication.
* Good IT skills.
The role is subject to proof of eligibility to work in the UK, satisfactory references and an enhanced DBS check.
