Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Reinsurance Analyst to manage the inwards reinsurance portfolio, with a focus on premium processing, contract validation, and operational reporting. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the operational and regulatory integrity of inwards activity within the Lloyd’s syndicate framework.
Key Responsibilities
* Contract & Premium Management
o Validate and process inwards reinsurance contracts and associated premium transactions.
o Reconcile bureau signings and ensure accurate booking in accordance with Lloyd’s standards and syndicate protocols.
* Stakeholder Collaboration
o Liaise with underwriters, brokers, and underwriting assistants to resolve data discrepancies.
o Support credit control efforts and ensure smooth operational workflows.
* Regulatory & Risk Management
o Assist in identifying and mitigating operational risks related to assumed reinsurance.
o Maintain robust documentation to support regulatory compliance, audit readiness, and internal governance.
* Operational Support
o Provide support to the Operations team across audits, system updates, and process improvements.
o Assist with month-end and quarter-end system close, including:
+ Running reconciliations and variance analysis
+ Supporting Finance and other teams with data validation
+ Ensuring timely completion of system tasks and reporting deliverables
Qualifications & Competencies
* Bachelor’s Degree or College Diploma in Business, Finance, or related field
* Prior experience in reinsurance operations, preferably within a Lloyd’s syndicate or managing agent
* Strong understanding of Lloyd’s market practices, including regulatory reporting
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with policy administration or reinsurance processing systems is a benefit
* Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
* High attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment
* Collaborative mindset with a strong work ethic and commitment to operational excellence
