Performance Objectives
1. Fabricate, assemble, and install sheet metal parts for aircraft and aerospace components, following engineering drawings and specifications.
2. Use hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment such as shears, brakes, presses, and CNC machinery to cut, bend, and shape metal sheets.
3. Perform drilling, riveting, and fastening operations to join metal parts together, ensuring secure and durable connections.
4. Repair and modify existing aircraft components by replacing or reshaping damaged parts, ensuring they meet the original specifications.
5. Conduct regular inspections of sheet metal components and assemblies to ensure they meet stringent aerospace quality standards and tolerances.
6. Collaborate with engineers, quality control inspectors, and other team members to resolve fabrication challenges and ensure the highest level of workmanship.
7. Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
