We are seeking a Finance Project Assistant to support our Finance Business Partners with various finance tasks. This role is based in Cambridge, with hybrid working arrangements (minimum one day per week on-site).

Full-time: 35 hours per week
Contract: Open-ended
Salary: £25,000 - £28,000 per annum, depending on skills/experience, plus a 12% pension benefit
Annual Leave: 25 days pro rata in year 1, increasing to 28 days with service
BirdLife International is the world's largest nature conservation partnership, delivering impactful conservation efforts globally.
In this role, you will:
* Enter ERP project budgets and work orders
* Check project and award data for accuracy
* Update project forecasts and assist with audit preparations
* Maintain financial records and systems
* Attach contracts and budgets to ERP
* Prepare journal entry templates and assist with bank reconciliations
* Provide cover for accounts payable and receivable tasks
Ideal Candidate:
* Accounting qualification or progress towards one
* Attention to detail and discretion
* Organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
* Numeracy skills and familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Word
* Experience in finance environment and accounting software is advantageous
* Interest in the charity sector
