This is an outstanding opportunity to support our strategic consulting group, Business Aspect, delivering financial and management accounting, working alongside our talented Data#3 Finance and Administration team. A diverse and fast paced role, you will independently administer accounting practices and ensure accounting, financial and operating reports accurately reflect the conditions of the business and provide reliable information for control and management purposes.

In this role you will:
Maintain and administer the accounting procedures, internal controls and related systems and ensure the security and integrity of the accounting systems
Accurately complete routine end of month tasks (e.g. journals and reconciliations) within required timeframes (i.e. the monthly EOM timetable)
Review and verify the accuracy of accounting entries and general ledger balances, with specific reference to reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts monthly
Advise and educate members of the management team in the interpretation and analysis of management reports and improve the general financial awareness within the business
Assist with the preparation of financial statements, statutory accounts and returns (e.g. income tax returns, BAS returns, FBT returns)
Assist relevant stakeholders in the preparation and maintenance of operating budgets and forecasts and monitor performance against targets
Ensure accounting activities comply with legal, ethical and financial regulations and reporting standards
About You
You will be a highly motivated accountant who works well in a team environment with:
Proven relevant experience in a commercial environment since graduation, with experience in external reporting
Current working knowledge of the relevant accounting standards
Experience working with accounting platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics and Microsoft Office particularly Excel and Word
Tertiary qualifications with professional membership to CA or CPA
