Part-Time Supply Teaching Assistant – SEMH Primary School, Yeovil

Do you have a calm, compassionate nature and a genuine interest in supporting pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs? We have a rewarding opportunity for a part-time Supply Teaching Assistant to join a dedicated SEMH primary school in Yeovil this September.
This welcoming and specialist school caters for pupils aged 5–11 with SEMH needs, many of whom may have additional learning challenges such as ADHD, autism or trauma-related behaviours.
The role is ideal for someone with experience in SEN settings, or someone looking to develop their skills in a supportive and structured environment.
Your Role Will Include:
* Supporting pupils with SEMH needs in small groups or 1:1
* Promoting positive behaviour and emotional regulation strategies
* Assisting the class teacher with learning activities and classroom management
* Providing consistent support to help pupils reach their individual learning goals
We’re Looking For:
* Patience, resilience and a nurturing approach
* Experience with SEN or SEMH (preferred but not essential)
* A willingness to learn and be part of a collaborative team
* A valid DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
