Power Saving Solutions (PSS) is a local manufacturing firm in Meden Vale, Nottinghamshire, we're manufacture and Hire industry-leading BESS technology with our Hussh Pods, supporting industries such as construction, marine, healthcare, data centres, TV & film. Fast-growing PE backed company in the battery energy storage sector.
We are looking for a newly Qualified or Part-Qualified (final stages) Accountant who is looking to develop their career in a fast past, rapidly growing manufacturing business. With the opportunities and exposure to get involved in all aspects of the finance function. The successful applicant will be reporting into the CFO and will work along the Credit Manager.
Key Responsibilities
· Preparing accurate consolidated monthly management accounts for review
· Preparing commentary and variance analysis of the monthly management packs
· Completing all balance sheet reconciliations
· Inventory management
· Maintaining a 13-week cashflow forecast
· Maintaining the fixed assets including depreciation, additions, and disposals
· Preparing and submitting quarterly VAT returns
· Supporting with the preparation of the year end audit
· Process the monthly payroll accurately
· Building and maintaining strong relationships with the operations teams
· Stock Takes
· Checking the accuracy of and approving the invoices
· Preparing and raising the monthly pay runs
· Develop, implement, and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
Desirable
· Newly qualified or in the final stages of becoming a qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA)
· Experience of the Manufacturing sector
· Someone with previous experience in producing monthly management accounts
· Experience in a year end and audit processes
· A confident user of Excel and accountancy systems
· Confident and able to pick up a new assignment quickly and happy to pick up ad hoc tasks as and when required
· Someone that is ambitious, flexible with the passion for an SME company and being part of an inclusive team
Working Conditions
* Full-time - Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm primarily onsite
* 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays per year
