Are you ready to be the crucial link in delivering outstanding customer service and technical support within one of the UK's leading utilities businesses? UK Power Networks is seeking a Business Support Assistant (QDPA) to join our Connections Projects team, based at our Bury St Edmunds office. If you're looking to make a real impact in a role that blends administration, customer management, and technical support, this is the opportunity for you.
Working at UK Power Networks means you can look forward to a competitive salary of £35,158 plus a 3% bonus and a range of valuable benefits, including 25 days' annual leave (plus bank holidays), private medical cover, reservist leave, an exceptional pension scheme, and a variety of tax-efficient and lifestyle benefits.
As a permanent member of our team, you will report to the Quotation & Delivery Planning Team Leader, playing a central role in guiding customers through their journey from initial enquiry to final energisation of new or altered electricity connections. Your role will see you managing customer applications, supporting Designers with information requests, and handling technical queries. You will ensure regulatory compliance throughout the Connections Quotes process, maintain comprehensive project records via SAP and other IT systems, and produce insightful performance reports for both team and company use. Your expertise will extend to sourcing utility plans, issuing quotations, managing the delivery and disconnection processes, and validating contractor claims. We welcome applicants with a passion for customer service, strong IT skills, and an appreciation of health, safety, and regulatory frameworks relevant to the electricity industry. Experience with the Connections business or technical awareness would be advantageous, but most important is a positive, solution-focused approach and the ability to work closely with a variety of partners.
