Raymarine (part of Teledyne FLIR) is a leader in the Marine Electronics industry, we design and manufacture cutting edge products covering a wide range of technologies; including Radar, Sonar, Cameras, Chart Plotters and Instruments, destined for an array of markets including leisure, first responders and commercial.
We are looking for an experienced Senior Mobile Software Development Engineer to work in our Fareham office, being part of a team paving the way for brand new iOS and Android apps; integrating with our marine electronics eco system.

1. The role primarily involves development using cross-platform technologies, enabling efficient delivery across multiple platforms. However, candidates should also be capable of writing native iOS code when required—particularly for platform-specific features or performance optimisation.
2. Developing new and extending existing mobile software as part of a multi-discipline engineering team
3. Troubleshoot and debug applications effectively
4. Upholding coding standard, writing clean, maintainable and well-tested code
5. Breaking down requirements into defined and estimated tasks, creating risk and dependency considered plans
6. Working within an agile environment, facilitating frequent release cycles
7. Interacting with various stakeholders including collaboration with mobile technical authority, software architects, UI/UX teams, PA/QA, product owner and scrum masters
8. Participate in code reviews and supporting peer and/or junior engineers
To be ready to take on this role we would love if you have
9. A proven, strong track record of delivering software to meet the needs of customers (portfolio or app store links are a bonus).
10. Ideally degree level engineering qualification alongside significant technical experience
11. Strong proficiency in native iOS development
12. Hands-on experience withKotlin Multiplatform and Compose Multiplatform
13. Experience shipping KMP apps to both iOS and Android stores
14. Solid understanding of SwiftUI, UIKit and modern iOS development
15. Familiarity with Jetpack Compose is a plus
16. Deep understanding of MVVM, Clean Architecture and modular app design
17. Deep understanding of Unit and UI testing on iOS
18. Good grasp asynchronous programming (Combine async/await)
19. Good grasp of CI/CD pipelines and tools like GitHub Actions or Gitlab
20. Passionate about building high-quality, maintainable and scalable applications
21. Experience with analytics and A/B testing
