We are seeking a number of Waste Operatives to join our clients team in Nelson, Lancashire.
The role is provide efficient and effective refuse/recycling collection service in the removal of household waste including bulky goods, industrial and commercial refuse, co-mingled waste and garden waste from a variety of locations e.g. domestic, shops, schools farms etc…
1. To assist the driver in monitoring day-to-day basis.
2. To empty all free standing and post mounted litter bins.
3. To monitor on a day-to-day basis your progress and to be responsible for reporting any problems or reasons for shortfalls back to the supervisory staff.
4. To ensure work is completed in accordance within the time, quality and standard.
5. To undertake street cleansing duties on designated routes.
Hours are Monday – Thursday 07:30 – 15:30 and Friday 07:30 – 15:00.
Please be aware this is a temporary position, we cannot guarantee a permanent contract.
Requirements:
6. Must be physically fit due to the nature of the work.
7. Ability to deal with customers & members of the public.
8. Ability to work alone or unsupervised.
9. o be flexible.
10. Understanding of Health & Safety requirements.
Once you have received a start date we will issue out full PPE. Please be aware full Drug & Alcohol tests will take place before you start.
