About The Role
Role Summary:
The Senior Cost Engineer is responsible for the effective management, control and reporting of project costs for larger projects in a consistent manner and in accordance with all relevant Company policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
1. Management and provision of guidance and assistance to Cost Engineers
2. Work proactively with relevant PRP to ensure that commitments and costs are tracked and controlled
3. Provide Cost Engineering service to the contract with responsibility for the accurate Cost Reporting of complete projects or individual elements within major projects
4. Work proactively and meet with client representatives
5. Generate and maintain accurate cost reports in a format and frequency that provides clear visibility of the status of expenditure against budgets for internal use
6. Produce regular cost reports for clients as required by the Contract Agreement or Company requirements detailing CTR and CVO values, client approved PO values, billed to date, committed costs, forecast final costs, as a minimum for external reporting
7. Identify variances in project budget and in conjunction with PRP expediently implement corrective actions
