Job Overview
TE Connectivity’s Quality and Reliability Engineering Teams analyze the ability of product and production systems to comply with customer and contractual requirements through established reliability factors. They design, recommend revisions and install quality control systems, develop and document analytical methods for establishing reliability of products and their components, and conduct analysis on relative reliability considering cost, structure, weight, maintainability, facility of production, and material and equipment availability. They develop, implement, and monitor environmental safety programs to ensure compliance with regulations, and manage policies related to product environmental compliance, technical standards, and quality control to optimize materials and labor, including failure analysis and customer communication.
Roles and Responsibilities:
* Assist in shop floor (Assembly) Material Review Board activities.
* Handle customer quality queries promptly and professionally.
* Maintain quality documentation systematically, both physically and electronically.
* Conduct 8D defect investigations and present preventative and corrective actions.
* Review the effectiveness of implemented corrective actions.
* Participate in audits of manufacturing and control systems.
* Liaise with departments to ensure corrective actions and reports are timely.
* Assist with other Quality Department activities, including KPI measures and internal reworks.
* Observe Health and Safety regulations as per company and government standards.
* Perform other tasks as reasonably assigned.
Required Background:
* Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
* Familiar with mechanical measurement techniques and equipment.
* Ability to read engineering drawings (e.g., BS308).
* Good general education to GCSE level.
* Willing to learn and improve working practices.
* Ability to prioritize tasks based on due dates and customer needs.
* Strong reliability and accuracy under pressure.
* Proactive, self-motivated, and eager to foster a quality culture.
