Electrician – Location: HMP Elmley. Salary: £38,333.37. Contract: Permanent, Full-Time 39 hours per week. We are seeking a dedicated fully qualified Electrician to join the Facilities Maintenance Team at HMP Elmley, a CATEGORY C & Male prison.

We are a Ministry of Justice business providing critical services to HMPPS, seeking an Electrician with a combination of qualifications and experience as described below.

Responsibilities
* Carry out electrical installation, inspection, testing, and maintenance to support the safe operation of electrical systems in a prison environment.
* Work within the Facilities Maintenance Team to maintain planned and preventive maintenance schedules.
* Collaborate with colleagues from trades (Plumbers, Carpenters, Painters, Cleaners, Administrators) to deliver a safe and secure environment.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company procedures.
* Respond to maintenance requests and contribute to continuous improvement of electrical systems and processes.
Qualifications
* Certificate in BS7671:2018 (18th edition).
* Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installation or Electrotechnical Services (City & Guilds/EAL), including relevant NVQs and competency assessments (AM2/AM2S). For example: 2367 or 2357.
* Two years’ experience as a fully qualified electrician.
* Experience working on commercial or industrial electrical systems.
* Good working knowledge of planned and preventive maintenance operations.
* Good Health & Safety knowledge.
* Excellent organisational, time management and people skills.
