Graduate Acoustic Consultant

We are looking for an ambitious and enthusiastic Graduate Acoustic Consultant to join our growing team in Sheffield. This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate who is passionate about acoustics and eager to begin their career within a supportive, professional consultancy environment.

The Role
As a Graduate Acoustic Consultant, you will work closely with experienced consultants and contribute to a wide range of acoustic projects. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Undertaking noise and vibration surveys across a variety of sites
2. Carrying out noise modelling and data analysis
3. Preparing clear, well-structured technical reports
4. Supporting project delivery to ensure deadlines and budgets are met
5. Conducting sound insulation testing in line with current industry standards
About You
We are keen to hear from candidates who can demonstrate:
6. A degree in Acoustics, Environmental Science, or a related discipline
7. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
8. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
9. A proactive, organised, and professional approach to work
10. A full UK driving licence (desirable but not essential)
Day-to-Day Activities
Your role will be varied and hands-on, typically involving:
11. Visiting client sites to carry out noise and vibration assessments
12. Using specialist software to model and interpret acoustic data
13. Working alongside clients, architects, and planning consultants to deliver practical acoustic solutions
14. Producing high-quality reports to support planning applications and regulatory compliance
15. Managing multiple tasks and projects while maintaining high standards of accuracy and efficiency
