The role is full-time and permanent, leading the bar operation for a maximum of three weddings per week. You’ll take ownership of stock, pricing, bar setup, cleanliness and compliance, while heading up a team of regular casual bar staff. You’ll also work closely with the venue’s planning team to ensure couples receive the drinks packages they’ve carefully chosen in the lead-up to their big day.
Lead the bar operation during weddings and private events
Manage and train a team of casual bar and breakfast staff
Allocate shifts using an app and ensure coverage for events
Oversee bar maintenance, cleaning, line management, and stock replenishment
Ensure all bar operations meet compliance and licensing standards
Implement and manage health & safety and fire procedures for bar staff
Serve as the main point of contact for the bar on event days
Responsibility for breakfast service the morning after weddings
Proven experience managing a bar, ideally within events or hospitality
Comfortable with stock control, pricing, and general bar maintenance
Full driving licence and own vehicle - essential due to rural location
Willing to complete First Aid and Fire Safety training on site
Genuinely balanced full-time role with regular, predictable scheduling
