Job Description:
The School of Nursing & Midwifery at Queen’s University Belfast is seeking a Teaching Assistant - Midwifery until 20 May 2026 to cover maternity leave. The successful candidate will assist colleagues involved in teaching within the discipline, as assigned by the Lead Midwife Education.
Established in 1991, Queen’s School of Nursing & Midwifery offers innovative undergraduate and postgraduate programmes to prepare nurses, midwives, and healthcare professionals for leadership roles in clinical care, teaching, management, and research.

About the person:
The successful candidate must meet the following essential criteria:
* Relevant Midwifery qualification (on the live NMC Register).
* BSc in a health-related discipline.
* Significant relevant experience caring for women in hospital, community, or similar settings.
* Experience in educating and supporting students in clinical practice.
* Recent clinical practice experience.
* Basic ICT skills/experience.
Please demonstrate how you meet these criteria clearly in your application. Fixed-term contracts are initially for the stated period but may be renewed or made permanent depending on funding.
