Job Title: Full-Time Learning Support Assistant (Year 1)

Position Type: Full-time (8:15am - 3:30pm)
About Us: We are a reputable primary school based in Burnley, dedicated to providing a supportive and enriching learning environment for our students. We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our Year 1 team on a full-time basis.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide one-to-one and small group support to students in year 1, assisting with their learning and development.
* Support the class teacher in the planning and delivery of lessons, ensuring the inclusion of all students.
* Assist with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behavior management strategies.
* Foster positive relationships with students, promoting their social and emotional well-being.
* Support students with additional needs, including those with SEN or EAL requirements.
* Help to create a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning.
Requirements:
* Previous experience working as a Learning Support Assistant or in a similar role.
* NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools is desirable.
* A compassionate and patient approach to working with children.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
