The Holbrook and Shotley Practice, in Ipswich, is seeking two organised and professional receptionists to join our friendly team on a part-time basis. This will be for 15 hours per week, working the following patterns: Receptionist 1 Monday 08:00 -17:00 Tuesday 14:00 - 18:30 Thursday 13:00 - 18:30 Receptionist 2 Tuesday 08:00 -17:00 Thursday 14:00 - 18:30 Friday 13:00 - 18:30 The main responsibilities of the role include: · Greeting and directing all patients. · Making appointments. · Answering queries and complaints from patients and outside agencies, signposting to the appropriate staff member as appropriate. · Accepting, issuing and handing out prescriptions, letters, completed forms, specimen bottles, etc. · Advising patients of practice procedures. · Registering new patients. · Accurately maintaining patient database and records, photocopying, filing and scanning. About the Candidate The successful applicant will have the following: Excellent communication skills, with a patient-focussed attitude A quick learner with good IT skills and excellent attention to detail Helpful and friendly manner is essential, with the ability to work well with others Primary care/healthcare experience would be desirable Flexible to cover for sickness and holidays About Us The Holbrook and Shotley Practice is a GP Practice across two surgery sites. We pride ourselves on providing a high standard of care to our 8000 patients. Our practice team comprises of three GP partners, two salaried GPs, supported by a highly experienced team of nurses, dispensers, paramedics, and reception team.
