Accounts and Logistics Administrator
6 Month - fixed term contract
Part time – hours to be discussed and tailored to suit.
What do we do?
At Beta Best Produce, we are the European sales office for a large grower of fresh produce in Peru. Beta farm over 5,000 hectares of land to produce blueberries, grapes, pomegranates, avocados, and asparagus for export to global markets. Our mission is to sell Beta’s produce within the European market, importing, repacking, and delivering directly into retailers, while developing new sales channels for the group.
What you will be doing as an Accounts and Logistics Administrator:
* Invoicing sales orders and forwarding to customers.
* Registering new customers and updating customer details.
* Accounts receivables / regular sending out of statements.
* Credit control / monitoring overdue payments and liaising with clients to obtain payment.
* Requesting credit cover for new clients.
* Matching supplier bills in our ERP system.
* Generating remittance advice and forwarding to suppliers.
* Imputing consignments into our ERP system.
* Booking transport and other logistical tasks as they arise.
* Entering sales orders into our ERP system.
* Assisting traders with requests.
Who are we looking for?
• You will have previous experience in an admin and/or finance role, ideally within fresh produce, foodservice, logistics, distribution, warehousing, or FMCG.
• You will be a competent learner of IT systems, familiar with ERP systems and accounting software like Xero.
• You will have good numerical skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and some experience dealing with multiple currencies.
• You will have good attention to detail, initiative, and problem-solving skills.
• You will be commercially aware and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• You will be organized and experienced in managing multiple tasks and deadlines to ensure timely and accurate work.
• You will be accustomed to making independent decisions and using your initiative to resolve problems.
• You will be able to build strong relationships with external parties.
• You will have the right to work in the UK.
