We’re looking for a hands-on Quality Control Team Leader for a prestigious manufacturer in Elland to deliver exceptional standards across inspection, measurement, and documentation. You’ll play a key role in ensuring products meet the highest technical and customer requirements — from raw material inspection through to final release.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, coach, and develop the Quality Control team to meet daily business priorities.
* Drive efficiency and effectiveness across all QC activities.
* Provide technical expertise in measurement, inspection, and test methods.
* Perform dimensional, visual, and surface inspections on components and assemblies.
* Conduct surface finish, hardness, and PMI checks.
* Maintain and control calibration of inspection and test equipment.
* Support internal audits and ensure adherence to company procedures.
* Liaise with customers, auditors, and third-party inspectors, offering technical support and problem resolution.
About You
* Time-served apprentice or degree-qualified in a technical, manufacturing, or quality discipline.
* Strong background in manufacturing and quality control.
* Able to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications.
* Good understanding of geometric tolerancing and metrology.
* Proficient with CMMs, hand-held measuring equipment, and inspection/test instruments.
* Knowledge of alloys, casting, welding, coating, and NDT processes (advantageous)..
* Competent with Microsoft Office; SAP experience desirable.
