The successful DT Teacher will deliver engaging lessons across KS3–KS5, with the opportunity to teach GCSE and A Level Design & Technology depending on experience. You will design and deliver practical, project-based lessons that encourage creativity, technical skill, and independent problem-solving.
The school is seeking a practitioner who can inspire pupils to develop design thinking, craftsmanship, and practical competence, while maintaining high standards of safety and organisation. Beyond classroom teaching, there is scope to lead or support enrichment activities such as design clubs, competitions, enterprise projects, and cross-curricular initiatives.
Experience and Qualifications
• QTS/PGCE and a degree in Design & Technology or related discipline
• Experience teaching GCSE and A Level Design & Technology desirable
• Strong practical skills across a range of DT materials and processes
• Excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management skills
• Commitment to co-curricular involvement and holistic education
