Role – Mechanical Technician
Type – Permanent
Location – Wiltshire
Salary – £40,000 - £47,000, dependent on experience
My client designs and manufactures engineering equipment and machinery, and they are looking to take on a Mechanical Technician, on a permanent basis, in the Wiltshire area.
The Mechanical Technician will ideally have the following attributes:
* Knowledge of MIG / TIG Welding
* Strong machining experience – knowledge of centre-lathes, turret mills, pillar drills etc.
* Experienced working in a workshop environment
* Mechanical Assembly and Manufacturing skills
* Able to read and work to Engineering Drawings
* Knowledge of special purpose machinery
* Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
* Team player
The Mechanical Technician role will involve:
* Mechanical assembly of a variety of products and equipment
* Working with special purpose machinery
* Working to project specifications and deadlines
* Participating in technical training
* Working to procedures and instructions
* Communicating with different departments to resolve technical issues
