About the Role:
As Attendance Officer Support, you will work directly with pupils and families to improve attendance, follow up absences, and reinforce school attendance policies. You will apply a firm, professional approach, complete home visits where required and maintain accurate records to support sustained improvement.
Key Responsibilities as Attendance Officer Support:
Attendance Enforcement: Monitor daily attendance and punctuality, following up absences immediately.
Home Visits: Conduct attendance-related home visits where required (driving licence essential).
Policy Application: Apply school attendance procedures consistently and professionally.
Data & Reporting: Maintain accurate attendance records and provide clear reports to leadership.
Professional Coordination: Work closely with pastoral teams, leadership, and external agencies to improve outcomes.To succeed as Attendance Officer Support, you will need:
Experience in attendance, pastoral, education, youth services, or a similar structured role.
A firm, confident communication style with the ability to hold difficult conversations.
Strong organisation, follow-through, and attention to detail.
A proactive, independent working approach with resilience under pressure.
A full UK driving licence.
