DEA is currently seeking a skilled and motivatedCivil Project Engineerwith expertise in site design projects to join our dynamic land development team based inTustin, CA. As a Civil Engineer focused on site design, you will be responsible for planning, designing, and managing various aspects of land development projects. This role requires a strong foundation in civil engineering principles, proficiency in relevant design software, and the ability to contribute to project success through innovative solutions.
Responsibilities:
1. Site Planning and Design:
o Apply civil engineering principles to develop comprehensive site plans for various projects.
o Conduct site layout, grading, drainage, utility design, and other site development activities.
2. Regulatory Compliance:
o Ensure designs comply with local, state, and federal regulations and codes.
o Facilitate the permitting process and coordinate with regulatory agencies as needed.
3. Technical Proficiency:
o Utilize design software (such as Civil 3D, AutoCAD) to create detailed plans and drawings.
o Perform calculations related to grading, stormwater management, and utility systems.
4. Client Interaction:
o Work closely with clients to understand project requirements and objectives.
o Provide regular updates on project progress and address client concerns or inquiries.
5. Project Management:
o Develop project schedules, budget estimates, and identify critical milestones.
o Coordinate with project teams and other stakeholders to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
6. Quality Assurance:
o Conduct thorough reviews of design plans to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with standards.
o Implement quality control measures throughout the design process.
Qualifications:
1. Education:
o Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
2. Experience:
o Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in civil engineering, with a focus on site design projects.
3. Technical Skills:
o Proficient in Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and other relevant design software.
o Strong understanding of grading, drainage, utility design, and site layout principles.
4. Communication:
o Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
o Ability to effectively communicate with clients, team members, and regulatory agencies.
5. Problem Solving:
o Demonstrated ability to analyze problems and develop innovative solutions.
o Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills.
6. Professional Certification:
o Professional Engineer (PE) license
